Brush-up your Finnish 1 Online course

 

The idea of this online course is to support students who are self-studying Finnish  or who want to revise  basics of Finnish they have learnt earlier.  The course fee is very moderate because we'll have sessions only once a week  26.8.–18.11.24.

 Now it is time to register to next Finnish language  basic course 2 .

This course will start from chapter 4 in textbook Oma suomi 1 (revised edition) on 22.7.2024.

Mothers' Day, second Sunday of May

We will celebrate mothers the second Sunday of May, this year it is the 12th of May.

In Finnish it is called Äitienpäivä. 

A self-made card from child and some wild flowers from yard are enough. Then you can eat something sweet with coffee or have a nice lunch with family.

NEW TEXTBOOKS, NEW COURSES

For many years we have studied Hyvin menee! textbook. Now it has become quite difficult to find in book stores and public libraries. We still like it a lot, but this spring we decided that it is time to move on. The new textbook on courses Finnish Language Basic Course 1-4  is Oma suomi 1 and courses 5-7 Oma suomi 2.  

Online courses Brush-up your Finnish 1-2 will study book Oma suomi 1. New online courses Finnish for Beginners 1-4 that replace courses First Steps ans Second Steps will use textbook Sun suomi. In it English is used throughout the book in task descriptions, grammar points and information sections.
